Challenge

In the context of climate change, natural resource depletion and rapid growth of cities, it is more important than ever to transform our development model to make it more sustainable.

However, players in the Infrastructure & Cities sector, one of the most polluting on the planet, are struggling to implement this new model:

a fragmented value chain, too many stakeholders to coordinate, constant pressure to deliver quickly and heavy budgetary constraints to maintain profitability in the short term.

It was necessary to demonstrate to all international players in the Infrastructure & Cities sector that they could collaborate easily and better meet their objectives thanks to the power of Dassault Systèmes' solutions. To capture their attention, but also to be very concrete, we started from a practical case: how would we build a monument of yesterday thanks to the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform?

Inspiration

Inspired by Gustave Eiffel’s famous tower and by our dedication to harmonize products, nature and life, Dassault Systèmes gathered a global team of experts to demonstrate that environmental challenges can be efficiently addressed by the Infrastructure & Cities sector.

Follow their journey and discover how they would reimagine the Eiffel Tower with the latest digital solutions and technical capabilities to mitigate their impact at each step of the process.

Idea

In 1887, Gustave Eiffel won a challenge to build, in less than two years, a 300-meter-high tower in Paris. The Eiffel Tower was a symbol of scientific and technical progress and has become one of the most iconic monuments in the world. But how would governments, engineers, architects, logisticians and builders address these challenges today, using the tools and technologies of the 21st century?

"So we put together a team of experts, and we started to imagine a new Eiffel Tower... Pretty exciting"

Articulated around a documentary series, and targeted content for the various players in the sector (interviews with experts, articles, data...), Building Tomorrow retraces the adventure of this crazy idea and demonstrates that it is not only possible to respond to their problems and the challenges of tomorrow, but also shows the way to do so.

Growth

Discover a new low-carbon, circular and regenerative tower that responds to the main challenges generated by accelerated urbanization: greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, quality of life, re-vegetation of cities...

Discover Building Tomorrow.
