WT Talks Designing Accessiblity

Defining Accessibility

Accessibility is a term which is broadly used but not always fully understood, and its definition has historically depended on who was asking the question. At Wunderman Thompson, we know that true accessibility isn't an extra step to think about at the end, but rather a step that should be part of the innovative process at the beginning of every initiative.

For WT Talks: Defining Accessibility, we sat down with Dr. Josh Loebner, WT's Global Head of Inclusive Design and Accessibility, to hear from him the importance of contextualizing accessibility and nurturing its true value. In conversation with Patrick Kane, WT Catalyst Fellow and B+ERG, Access All Areas Founder, they discuss how both disabled and non-disabled consumers benefit from accessibility, the importance of framing the question within cultural competency, and much more.

Innovation, imagination and inspiration – accessibility, from my perspective, needs to be a part of all these to create something bold and meaningful.
